Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Projects & Accounts (GPA) team as a Proposal Development Engineer. This exciting opportunity will focus on developing and managing proposals for fire and gas detection systems worldwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive proposals for global projects, working closely with end-users and EPCs. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and implementation of processes for more efficient proposal operations within the GPA team.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical certification in a relevant field. Prior experience can compensate for lack of formal degree.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in similar roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with designing technical specifications and creating technical proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience with global EPC bidding processes, a significant advantage.
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers worldwide.
  • Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Disposition to learn and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Work prioritization, with the ability to use own initiative for task completion.
  • Experience with Autronica and Det-Tronics products and system integration practices or related industry.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to follow-up on issues and progress to meet leadership expectations.
  • Experience working cooperatively and respectfully on multicultural/cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel, including on short notice (although not often required).
