We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Scrap Procurement Lead to join our team at Novelis. As a global leader in innovative products and services, we partner with customers in the automotive, beverage can, aerospace, and specialties industries to deliver solutions that improve the benefits of balanced lightweight aluminum.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and develop contacts with aluminum scrap suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Explore new scrap markets to support the recycling content growth and analyze global procurement markets to develop new procurement strategies.
- Continuously control and optimize internal material flows and cooperate closely with metal planning functions, European casthouses, operations, and other support functions.
- Expedite procurement/open orders and reduce metal costs.
- University degree in Business Administration or similar.
- At least 2 years working experience in the purchasing field.
- Good understanding of the scrap market, recycling operations, supplier selection, and risk assessment.
- Proficient in MS office programs (Word, Outlook, and Excel). Experience in SAP is welcome.
- Flexibility and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Business fluent German and English language skills.
