Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to lead global EHS programs and initiatives for our clinical development business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the global EHS strategy in alignment with our mission and values.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on EHS matters.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize EHS risks and hazards within the organization's operations and projects.
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Partner with and guide operational managers to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Lead the office and clinical ergonomics program.
  • Establish and manage incident reporting and investigation processes.
  • Lead incident response efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions.
  • Support the Workers Compensation Insurance process.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards across all regions of operation.
  • Drive environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction.
  • Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout the organization.
  • Introduce EHS performance metrics and reporting systems.
  • Provide regular updates to assigned senior management teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community groups, to build positive relationships and represent the organization on EHS matters.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Science, Health Care or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in EHS leadership role(s) within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research industry preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards in one or more jurisdictions.
  • Experience supporting multiple countries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within an organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in injury prevention, risk management and mitigation.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish (preferred).
