About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at McPhy Group. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing mechanical systems that are critical to our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mechanical studies of our products, including dimensioning packaging structures and optimizing integrations for safety, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance.
  • Carry out detailed studies of mechanical sub-assemblies, including 3-D design and drawing up plans for assembly lines.
  • Integrate and verify detailed studies at the product/system level to constitute a complete mechanical design file.
  • Track mechanical requirements of subassemblies from system/product specifications.
  • Manage subcontracting of studies and realizations, including requesting quotations for mechanical sub-assemblies and ensuring technological watch on 3D design tools and manufacturing technologies.
  • Organize and lead technical meetings on the mechanical part and provide necessary information to monitor work done and remaining work to be done.
  • Consult with manufacturers for mechanical sub-assemblies during development and implementation phase.
  • Provide components, participate, and validate development of manufacturing routings with method/manufacturing team.
  • Accompany and support manufacturing and assembly phases in the workshop.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (or university degree) specializing in mechanics.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machines.
  • Experience in production (small and medium series) to integrate mechanical design in manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance in safety.
  • Very good knowledge of SolidWorks, knowledge of EPDM is a plus.
  • Mastery of office automation tools (Ms Office).
  • Knowledge of process equipment.
  • Ability to analyze technical documents for gas and electrical processes.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of risks related to hydrogen is a plus.
