Agricultural Equipment Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Ziprecruiter in South Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of agricultural equipment, lawn maintenance, and construction equipment.

About Us
We are a family-owned business that started in 1963 as a John Deere dealership serving the agricultural industry around Lake Okeechobee and have grown to 18 locations covering South and Central Florida. We serve a wide range of customers from some of the largest agricultural producers of sugar, citrus, and vegetables to individual farmers, golf courses, nurseries, commercial landscape management companies, and construction businesses, as well as large and small property owners.

Salary & Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our company offers a very competitive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, matching 401k, and other benefits.

Job Description
This position involves performing repairs and maintenance on various types of agricultural equipment, lawn maintenance, and construction equipment. The successful candidate will have experience working on equipment, preferably in agricultural, lawn maintenance, or construction industries, and will possess mechanical knowledge, particularly with z-tracks to 2 Stroke equipment. The role also requires strong communication skills, good customer relations, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3-5 years of mechanic experience
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Mechanical knowledge, preferably z-tracks to 2 Stroke equipment
  • Certification in automotive air-conditioning
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and diagnose hydraulic system faults
  • Experience in diagnosing and repair of diesel engines
  • Strong communication skills
