About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Architect to join our team at 3240 Kyndryl Italia S.P.A. As a Mainframe Architect, you will be responsible for the overall success of technical solutions from construction to implementation and system integration in a technology, industry, or business specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and design optimization and transformation mainframe projects with a focus on defining target Mainframe Architecture and guiding customers to develop a plan to optimize or move off from the platform.
  • Lead mainframe projects from solution to delivery phase, including application modernization projects and knowledge of the Microfocus suite.
  • Collaborate with customers to deliver new and high-quality solutions to meet varying business requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of z/OS and z/DB2 technologies to be applied to complex projects.
  • Experience in Mainframe Technical Health Checks, Capacity and Performance Analysis, and Mainframe software and platform upgrade.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate fast-paced and rapidly evolving environments.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • IBM z/OS Professional Certificate.
  • DB2 for z/OS Certified Administrator.
  • Programming Language Knowledge (Cobol, Java).
  • IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator.
  • Microfocus suite.
