Job Title: Mechanical Tester - Cable System Specialist

Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Tester - Cable System Specialist to join our team in Quattordio, Italy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical tests on submarine cable systems to assess their capability to withstand mechanical stresses.

You will use your expertise to set up optimized test circuits, select suitable measuring instruments, and collaborate closely with internal customers and engineering teams to understand project requirements.

Key responsibilities include coordinating laboratory operators involved in testing, running testing activities, analyzing test results, and defining test schedules. Depending on seniority and expertise, you may also lead R&D related projects.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional experience in testing laboratories;
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
• Proactiveness, accuracy, and problem-solving skills;
• Strong teamwork attitude and flexibility;
• Fluency in English (spoken and written);
• Availability to travel;
• Interest/competence in electrical engineering-related aspects is a plus;
• Knowledge of welding activities is an asset.
