Talent Solutions, part of Manpower Group, is currently recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician for an important pharmaceutical client based in Florence. The resource will join the Global Laboratory of Advanced Analytics to support the R&D Projects portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Structural characterization of Drug Substances (Small molecules or Biologics)
* Identification of impurities in Drug Substances and Finished Products (Small molecules or Biologics)
* Quantitation of impurities and contaminants in Drug Substances and Finished Products (Small molecules or Biologics)
* Development, qualification and validation of new analytical methods for the above activities
* Data interpretation
* Preparation of presentations and reports on the above activities (mainly in English)
* Analytical instrumentation calibration, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance
* Issuing of Standard Operating Procedures / Working instructions for general laboratory operations and instrument control and maintenance

**Requirements:**

* Master's Degree in CTF, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent
* One - two years of experience in Academic or Pharmaceutical Industries as LCMS/GC-MS specialist for the analysis of organic molecules
* Solid background in Organic and Analytical Chemistry, LC or GC interfaced with Mass Spectrometry (preferably HRMS), spectral data interpretation
* Flexibility, Good communication skills, Attitude to team working in multi-disciplinary environment, Confidentiality
* Fluency in English spoken and written
* Effective knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), common LC-MS or GC-MS, data acquisition and processing software packages (e.g.: MassLynx, XCalibur, Chromeleon, MassHunter)
