Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Work Management Planner to join our team at In Kehna. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating construction and maintenance activities for substation assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop work packages to include scope of work, accurate estimates of hours required, skill sets needed, and procedures required to perform work.
  • Plan for special tools, mobile equipment, and special part needs.
  • Obtain necessary permits and clearances.
  • Project job durations for scheduling purposes.
  • Provide sketches, digital pictures, or drawings as needed.
  • Communicate and schedule with various work groups to identify and coordinate high-priority work.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to develop project plans for capital construction projects.
  • Clarify project scope, identify required construction resources, and develop construction work sequences.
  • Identify potential obstacles to completing projects and make initial resource assignments.
  • Coordinate transmission clearances with Grid Management, ECC TCC, and DCC.
  • Process and store completed work package documentation.
  • Obtain feedback from schedulers, crew members, and supervisors to ensure work package quality.
  • Assist with emergency planning, clearance requests, and hot line tag requests.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of work management systems, such as Passport, MS Project, MAXIMO, SLATE, TITUS, ITOA, P6, Adobe, and MS Office.
  • Substantial specific knowledge in craft areas, such as electrical, relaying, apparatus, substation, and line construction/maintenance work.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to formulate data and process information.
  • Ability to lead presentations in front of small to medium-sized teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional support for planning crews during storm restorations or emergency conditions.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours during emergent situations.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% overnight within the DEP area.
