At Stars Restaurant, we are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine aircraft maintenance functions, including preventive maintenance inspections and quality technical inspections of aircraft and aircraft systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions, including routine inspections and maintenance of aircraft systems.
  • Perform quality technical inspections of aircraft and aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, instrument, and armament systems.
  • Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations and maintain aircraft hydraulic systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and instructions to mechanics as required to ensure acceptable quality work and flight line services.
  • Assist in the preparation, processing, and answering of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs).
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems.
  • Perform functional checks, inspections, and troubleshooting as required and trained.
  • Complete and maintain aircraft forms and records.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of aviation experience.
  • Must be skill-qualified and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Prior experience on C-26 aircraft is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain the United States Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have a Valid US Passport.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • U.S. citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card.
  • Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, and technical manuals, and use measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and test equipment.
  • Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines, and component parts.
  • Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
  • Must be able to read and write, interpret, and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, and squatting, including working overhead. The position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line.
  • Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
  • If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
  • If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
  • Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc.
  • Travel may be required.
