Introduction

We are seeking Assistant Store Manager Trainees to join our Lidl 2 your career program, designed in collaboration with AHK Italien, the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce, and the Torino Technical Institute.

Candidates will be hired in October and November 2024 in various Lidl Stores in the Vercelli Province.

The Position

You will undergo a 2-year training and work program, during which you will acquire all the necessary skills to become an Assistant Store Manager in Lidl Stores.

  1. You will be hired in October or November 2024 in one of the Lidl Stores located in the Vercelli Province.
  2. During the two years, you will attend theoretical training at the Torino Technical Institute (approximately 1 week per month) with your entire class group.
  3. You will work in a Lidl Store for approximately 3 weeks per month, combining work and on-the-job training.
  4. At the ITS, you will have the opportunity to focus on subjects related to economy and marketing, with in-depth studies on management, logistics, and retail.
  5. In the company, you will work with the Store Manager to ensure optimal commercial and economic management of the Store and will be the point of reference for colleagues and customers.
  6. After two years, upon passing the final exams, you will receive a double title: the ITS Diploma in Assistant Store Manager (level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework) and the Certificate of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce for the relevant German reference profile, which attests to the practical professional skills acquired on-the-job and has international value on the labor market.
The Required Profile

We are looking for someone like you if:

  1. You are between 18 and 29 years old.
  2. You hold a high school diploma or a professional diploma (conferred with integrated 5-year IFTS programs).
  3. You are available to attend theoretical training at an ITS (approximately 1 week per month).
  4. You are motivated to acquire professional skills and work experience in a solid and structured company with a young, dynamic, and stimulating work environment.
  5. You have reached a level of English A2/B1.
  6. You consider yourself flexible, proactive, and enterprising.
  7. You enjoy working in a team.
  8. You are eager to take on responsibilities and solve problems quickly and pragmatically.
Our Offer
  1. We offer a fully funded study program, including possible accommodation near the ITS during the two years.
  2. We provide a regular monthly salary and access to benefits for Lidl employees.
  3. You will be employed full-time from October or November 2024 with a High-Apprenticeship Contract for Training and Research, which includes theoretical training at an ITS and practical work activities in Lidl Stores.
  4. You will be supported by a tutor didattico in ITS and a tutor aziendale in Lidl, who will be your reference points throughout the program.
  5. After two years, your career will be ready to take off: you can continue your work experience in Lidl Italy and, in the medium to long term, you will be offered opportunities for career advancement.
  6. Upon passing the final exams, you will receive two titles: the ITS Diploma (ministerial title of tertiary level) and the Certificate of Professional Competences of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce.
