About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Ascom. As the Head of Digistat Core, you will lead our Software Engineering team in designing, implementing, and operating our Digistat software product. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
- Maintaining high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Identifying and encouraging areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Collaborating with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications.
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans.
- Preparing reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
- Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Supporting the V&V team in deployment of releases.
- Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.
- Analyzing and providing guidance in solving technical and application problems.
- Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
- Providing third-level support to business users.
- Researching and evaluating a variety of software products.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong work experience in software development.
- Experience managing developer teams of more than 3 persons.
- Understanding of software design and development.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven technical skills.
Language Skills
We are looking for a candidate who is fluent in a minimum of 2 languages, both oral and written, with English being mandatory. Strong writing skills are also essential, with the ability to express ideas clearly in short, easy-to-read texts.
