Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Suspension Design Engineer to oversee the design of structural mechanical and composite components. This role involves adhering to packaging and specification constraints while ensuring effective communication regarding suspension functionality and driver control systems with relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed design tasks, including hand calculations and technical drawings, to exemplary standards.
- Prepare documentation for component testing and trackside operations, managing actions to address potential quality concerns during production.
- Stay informed on the latest technical advancements applicable to our work.
- Exhibit flexibility in attendance and work attitude, aligning with role requirements and project specifications.
- Maintain professionalism in all tasks and actively promote a positive image for the department and team.
- Collaborate with concept, vehicle performance, and aerodynamic teams to enhance the impact of suspension and driver controls on overall vehicle performance.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with other departments, suppliers, and technical partners.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in automotive design at a senior level, preferably within Formula 1.
- A degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of metallic materials and their treatments.
- Strong understanding of composite materials and their manufacturing processes.
- Able to manage tasks effectively under high-pressure conditions.
- Preferably experienced with Siemens NX CAD software; familiarity with other CAD applications is acceptable.
- Demonstrated innovation and proactive approach.
- Ability to thoroughly scope new tasks.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Strong collaborative skills with team members, external suppliers, and colleagues.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Italian is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time.
