Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Topcon Positioning Group is a leading provider of productivity tools for developing a brighter future. We design, manufacture, and distribute innovative solutions for the construction, geopositioning, and agriculture industries.

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at our Topcon Agriculture Test site in Concordia Sulla Secchia, Modena, Italy.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing testing infrastructure for in-office/laboratory and field testing, preparation and execution of verification, validation, and research testing. Focus is on GNSS products, including Antennas, OEM boards, and GNSS receivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop in-office/laboratory test benches, including 19" server racks, devices under testing, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain and develop the field-testing ground, including a Kinematic test track, Antenna testing facility, and Robotic arm.
  • Develop software for testing and automatic test cases using selected programming languages.
  • Perform product verification, validation, and R&D activities.
  • Prepare, execute, analyze, and create test reports for tests performed in Field and Laboratory conditions.
Requirements
  • University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical or Informatic field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Software Test Engineer field, preferably connected to equipment performance testing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from various technical and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/activities simultaneously.
  • A sense of accountability for the appearance of the test site and test vehicles.
  • Intermediate/ good level in English language is required.
Preferred Candidate Requirements
  • Intermediate in Russian – multicultural environment.
  • Average 3 years of experience in testing (HW, FW, or SW).
  • Understanding of basic principles of radio: antenna, receiver, transmitter.
