**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Project Leader for our summer program in the UK.

This is a hands-on, front-facing position that requires excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the centre, ensuring students and staff are safe and happy, and following policies and procedures as requested by Head Office.

The successful candidate will oversee the management team, assist with the implementation of all program aspects, uphold professional working relationships with local staff, group leaders, students, and venue staff, and carry out quality control and customer satisfaction initiatives.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring effective management takes place at the centre.
  • Assisting with the implementation of all parts of the program.
  • Upholding professional working relationships with local staff, group leaders, students, and venue staff.
  • Carrying out quality control and customer satisfaction initiatives.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Project Leader will also be required to:

  • Read and understand the PM Manual, Safeguarding Manual, and Staff Handbook before arrival at the centre.
  • Ensure staff are mindful of their duty of care in the welfare and safety of students.
  • Ensure the organisation of the centre, courses offered, and welfare of staff and students comply with British Council and English UK guidelines.
  • Be aware of everything happening in the centre.
  • Daily check-in with line manager.
  • Implement smooth and effective communication between the venue, management team, Head Office, and where necessary, agents.
  • Create and maintain clear lines of management and effective procedures.
  • Promote a friendly but professional team atmosphere and motivate staff effectively.
  • Foster excellent service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage expenses at the centre.
  • Attend mandatory training.

**Requirements:**

  • Education to degree level.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Outgoing and friendly individual with effective communication skills.
  • Previous management and leadership experience.
  • Number literate and computer literate with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc) competence.
  • Experience managing expenses.
  • Quick thinker and problem solver.
  • Loves working with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Not averse to public speaking.
  • Enthusiastic and up for challenges.
