About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Automation Engineer PLC to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, electronics, and mechatronics, with a passion for new technologies and a willingness to learn and adapt.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing PLC software, HMI software, and SCADA programming for our solar site in Catania. The role will involve working with a range of technologies, including PLC, HMI, and Inverter software, as well as CNC/Motion control development.
Requirements- Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field
- Previous experience in service and troubleshooting of automation and machinery
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills
- Knowledge of programming languages such as PLC/HMI (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or Codesys)
- Knowledge of SCADA programming (Intellution iFix, Wonderware Aveva, Movicom, Siemens WinCC, Ignition)
- Real-time programming experience
- Optimization techniques, big-data treatment, and machine learning knowledge
- Robotics knowledge
- Programming languages such as Java, Python, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, and relational databases (MySql, SQL Server)
