European Supply Chain Operations Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Supply Chain Manager to lead our logistics and procurement functions across Europe.

This is a prime opportunity for a strategic, empathetic leader who excels at optimizing complex processes and fostering collaboration.

About the Role:

  • Enhance Communication and Synergy: Strengthen alignment between logistics and procurement by closely collaborating with both strategic and operational teams, ensuring streamlined and effective workflows.
  • Optimize Supply Chain Practices: Review and update supply chain processes to align with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Drive Logistics Strategy: Implement and oversee logistics strategies to support smooth, efficient operations across the supply chain.
  • Plan & Manage Procurement: Collaborate with the purchasing and PM teams to optimize procurement planning and maintain efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure Traceability: Develop and manage systems for tracking goods from their origin to customer destinations.
  • Lead Digital Transformation: Lead the digitalization of our supply chain operations, integrating IT systems to improve transparency, speed, and accuracy.
  • Negotiate & Collaborate: Work closely with suppliers and freight companies to negotiate terms, set pricing, and ensure performance excellence, in collaboration with local Logistics Managers.

About the Position:

  • Extensive Supply Chain Expertise: Solid background in supply chain management, including logistics. Experience in a plastics or chemicals distribution company is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven expertise in leading and integrating diverse teams.
  • Strategic Mindset: Skilled in planning, systems analysis, and evaluating complex workflows.
  • IT Proficiency: In-depth understanding of supply chain and logistics IT systems.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and leadership abilities.
  • Fluency in English: Required for this international role.
