Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team at the University of California Santa Barbara. The successful candidate will lead research in low-carbon and just transitions in electricity systems in India and other regions.

• Develop operations and planning models of electricity systems
• Conduct spatial analysis of generation resources and load forecasting
• Analyze climate and health impacts of energy systems
• Lead or contribute to peer-reviewed publications and open-source modeling software
• Present research findings to stakeholders and conduct training

The Environmental Markets Lab (emLab) and Clean Energy Transformation Lab (CETlab) are interdisciplinary teams of scientists based at UC Santa Barbara. We conduct cutting-edge, data-driven research on market-based approaches to environmental problems.

Our research focuses on low-carbon and just transitions in energy systems, applying energy systems modeling, empirical analyses, and social science research methods.
