POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Teams at TE Connectivity are tasked with overseeing all aspects of the organization's Quality Management System. Their responsibilities include a comprehensive evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing processes, and business operations to ensure compliance with quality standards. They develop and implement quality strategies, programs, and procedures utilizing quality control statistics, lean manufacturing principles, and six-sigma methodologies. The team is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting quality discrepancies, investigating issues, conducting quality audits, and formulating corrective actions for recurring problems. Collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors is essential to ensure that all requirements are satisfied.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and internal standards. Lead and facilitate training sessions on the Quality Management System and updates to internal directives. Monitor and implement specific customer requirements into internal protocols. Utilize Quality Core tools to enhance production processes and address customer or internal challenges. (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, including Control Plans / QIP / Flow charts, MSA, SPC, Problem Solving) Engage in Quality Projects aimed at sustaining and advancing the quality system and enhancing performance metrics. Conduct internal system audits, process evaluations, and other relevant assessments. Ensure compliance between directives and actual practices, notifying responsible personnel of any nonconformities. Prepare management reviews and provide regular updates on the status of the Quality Management System. Employ TE tools for monitoring and improving quality production outcomes. Address customer complaints and internal issues using the 8D methodology and other problem-solving techniques as necessary. Manage the appropriate handling of blocked inventory. Contribute to FMEA and take ownership of Control Plans and other quality documentation for new projects, change management, and complaints.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A university degree in engineering or a related field. Preferably some experience (even during studies) in quality or lean manufacturing in a production setting. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Familiarity with quality assurance practices is preferred. Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949:2016 standards. Understanding of quality management systems as per IATF 16949. Proficiency in problem-solving tools. Strong statistical knowledge. Ability to analyze data effectively. Competence in making data-driven decisions. Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools. Experience with Problem Solving/Global 8D methodology. Knowledge of VDA 6.3 Process Auditing.
