Junior Front-end Developer

We are seeking a talented Junior Front-end Developer to join our engineering team at Jeenka. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building the 'client-side' of our websites and web applications.

Your primary focus will be on translating our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. You will work closely with our team to create a user-friendly environment by writing code and contributing to the development of our digital presence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop well-structured, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices
  • Create visually appealing website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to enhance user experience
  • Collaborate with the team to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Develop and maintain software documentation to ensure seamless knowledge transfer
  • Contribute to the maintenance, expansion, and scaling of our websites
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to our operations and activities
  • Work closely with web designers to ensure visual design intent is met

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in CSS and HTML, including layouts and cross-browser compatibility, as well as CSS preprocessors (SCSS)
  • Basic expertise in JavaScript programming (React) including concepts like asynchronous programming, ES6, and closures
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and theme development
  • Basic experience with bundlers (Gulp/Webpack)
  • Basic knowledge of PHP Framework (Laravel) is a plus
  • Understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process is a plus
  • Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • German is a plus
