About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing data architectures for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data architectures for our customers, including Data Lake, Lake House, and Data Mesh.
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and deliver technical assessments with partners and customers, including participating in pre-sales visits and creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
  • Engage with customers' business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise.
  • Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services.
  • Lead data architecture and data engineering teams to deliver project implementations successfully.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of database experience, including SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis.
  • 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
  • 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience.
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Teradata systems.
