Job Purpose:
The Production Planner at Colgate-Palmolive Company plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely production of our premium pet food products. This position involves developing and maintaining weekly production schedules, coordinating with various departments to ensure the availability of materials and resources, and monitoring production progress to address any issues or delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain weekly production schedules to ensure optimal use of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with procurement, material planning, and production teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and resources for production.
- Track and monitor production activities to ensure adherence to schedules, and promptly address any delays or issues that arise.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular production reports to management, highlighting key metrics, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all production activities comply with Colgate-Palmolive Company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock levels effectively.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in the production process without compromising product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout the production process.
- Work closely with various departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- Utilize production planning software to manage and optimize production schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on production goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 4-7 years of functional supply chain experience.
- Supervisory or project management experience.
- Experience with SAP S4, Kinaxis (RapidResponse), Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
- Proficiencies in advanced analytics and supply chain optimization tools/methodologies to determine process and cost improvements.
- Proficient in English language.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Lean Six Sigma.
