Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Emerson. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing plant, focusing on achieving strategic objectives related to sales, profitability, inventory, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee all operational activities to ensure production and revenue targets are met while optimizing processes and developing staff.
  • Collaborate with senior management on long-term operational strategies and manage the investment budget for improvements.
  • Analyze production performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance customer On-Time Delivery.
  • Mentor the operational team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety, while collaborating with HR to attract and retain talent.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture across operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, people management, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of lean and Six Sigma principles, with a successful track record of implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in English, with preference for Italian, French, and Romanian language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in an industrial automation environment with similar products (gas regulators and analyzers).
  • Experience within a matrix organization.
