Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a senior cloud software developer with expertise and high qualifications to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate technician with in-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud-native technologies, as well as experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, and various design patterns and best practices. As a Senior Cloud Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture and Design: Lead the architectural design and implementation of cloud-native applications using AWS services. Ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Spring Boot and Quarkus frameworks. Implement best practices and design patterns to ensure high-quality software development.
  • Cloud Integration: Develop and deploy applications leveraging a wide range of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and more. Ensure seamless integration and optimal use of cloud resources.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and problem-solving for cloud-based applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product Management, to provide high-quality software solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.
  • Automation and CI/CD: Design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Automate workflows and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Safety and Compliance: Implement best practices for safety and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud-based applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, design, code, and deployment processes. Ensure knowledge sharing and transfer within the team.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing, AWS services, and software development. Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Work Location

Molfetta - Lecce - Rome (with the possibility of working remotely up to 80% of the time)

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on cloud-native applications and AWS.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot and Quarkus frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with serverless computing and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Go).
