About the Role

Safilo, a leading global player in the eyewear industry, is seeking a skilled Internal Auditor to join its Global Internal Audit Team based in Padua HQ. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of the company's Internal Control and Risk Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and testing activities related to operational and compliance audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and documentation in line with audit methodologies.
  • Participate in audit engagements, identifying and communicating issues raised, with progressive autonomy in execution.
  • Ensure audit findings are properly documented and formalized in Working Papers.
  • Identify and propose actions to improve the effectiveness of internal control activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports reflecting audit results.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective action plans agreed with Management.
  • Execute internal testing activities related to Italian Law /5.
  • Participate in special projects, such as process re-design, due diligences, fraud detection, and business ethics analysis.
  • Actively participate in training programs to develop technical and managerial competencies.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Management Engineering; professional certification in auditing or accounting (e.g., CIA, CFSA) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in auditing, controlling, finance/accounting, or business consulting.
  • Strong organization skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and summarize significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and preferably of Data Analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
