Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Quality Lead to join our team at TriMas Corporation. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products meets customer requirements and company objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality team at our Forli plant to ensure the quality of our products meets customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and safety within the plant.
  • Manage quality and improvement initiatives in the plant, including scrap reduction, preventive quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure daily contact with customers and suppliers regarding potential quality claims.
  • Oversee the launch of new projects and products into production and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Manage, control, analyze, and report on quality metrics (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Maintain quality management system standards and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and BRC standards.
  • Create and update work instructions, quality alerts, and quality control plans.
  • Aid in resolving production, assembly, and process problems.
  • Provide advice on the acceptance or rejection of incoming materials and components and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Work closely with the plant management team to identify and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • University education in a technical field (bachelor's or master's degree).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality supervisor or customer quality role.
  • Advanced or fluent English language skills.
  • Ability to lead people and manage daily tasks.
  • Open-minded and able to find process improvements.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards, SPC, and Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8D problem-solving and quality tools.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Soft skills, including accuracy, flexibility, reliability, team player, natural leadership, and analytical skills.
