About the Role

The Data Protection Expert will play a crucial role in the Data Protection Office of Allianz Technology S.p.A., supporting the local Data Protection Officer in the development and implementation of the Data Privacy policy of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Privacy Register Maintenance: Maintain an accurate and updated Data Privacy Register of all processes and procedures collecting or processing Personal Data of the entity Group acting as Data Controller.
  2. Service Data Privacy Register Maintenance: Maintain an accurate and updated Service Data Privacy Register of all services and products of the entity collecting or processing Personal Data on behalf of Data Controllers in accordance with legal requirements acting as Data Processor.
  3. Data Privacy Awareness: Develop, prepare and roll out Data Privacy awareness campaigns for the local entity to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness.
  4. Culture of Privacy and Data Protection: Promote and embed within the company a culture of Privacy and Data Protection consistent with the principles of the Allianz Technology Data Privacy Policy and Allianz Privacy Standard (APS) and support senior management in communicating an appropriate tone-from-the-top.
  5. Training and Communication: Develop and provide appropriate training and communication on Data Privacy customized to the local needs.
  6. Advice and Guidance: Provide advice to the local management and to the local information/service/process owners on how to manage the Data Privacy risks.
  7. Audit Findings and Privacy Issues: Ensure remediation of all audit findings and privacy issues (if any) within timelines.
  8. Data Privacy Complaints and Incidents: Handle Data Privacy complaints, inquiries and incidents.
  9. Personal Data Incidents: Consult on personal data incidents, including advising on data breach notifications, resolutions, and remedial actions.
  10. Reporting and Representation: Participate in reporting to company management and represent the local entity in the relationship with local Data Privacy Supervisory Authority.
Requirements and Skills
  1. Experience: 5 years experience in a similar position, preferably in data privacy, risk management, internal control, or compliance.
  2. Regulatory Framework: Solid understanding and expertise with complex regulatory framework and requirements, particularly in Data Protection (GDPR) and security systems (ISO).
  3. Information Technology: Understanding of Information technology systems and their connection in relation to data protection, collection and processing.
  4. Risk Analysis and Controls: Experience with risk analysis and controls frameworks.
  5. Academic Background: Academic background or degree in Computer science, economics, legal, or similar disciplines.
  6. Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  7. Data Privacy Certification: Data Privacy Certification would be a plus.
  8. Language Skills: Proven command of the English language - verbal and written.
  9. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey compliance and corporate governance issues effectively.
  10. Personal Qualities: Integrity, impartiality, responsibility, and confidentiality.
  11. Initiative and Responsibility: Initiative and a sense of responsibility.
  12. Travel: Willingness to travel (approx. 20%).
