Sales Engineer for Field Instrument Solutions

Sales Engineer Job Description:
As a Sales Engineer at Emerson, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our field instrument products and solutions to key customers in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. You will work closely with the Area Sales Manager to identify and qualify new business opportunities, and develop strategies to grow orders and profitability in your assigned territory. Your focus will be on competitive displacement opportunities, OEM business, and end users located on the territory.
Main Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all sales activities to meet or exceed agreed bookings and strategic business objectives within the assigned territories
- Identify market requirements and specifics, develop and complete strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability in the agreed sales territory
- Actively promote and sell field instrumentation offerings, including products, solutions, and services
- Negotiate with customers relevant business contracts within the agreed delegation of authority, including discount, price, and volume structures
- Drive sales and proposal strategies with the sales support organization, both locally and internationally
- Participate in the annual budget setting process and comment on relative prospects bookings and GP as necessary
- Maintain a project opportunity list for the assigned sales area in the associated tools (CRM, etc.)
- Oversee, ensure, and personally support the execution of committed contractual terms to customers in all business transactions
- Report on quotation project potential through CRM and other reporting mechanisms

Requirements:
- Technical education or bachelor's engineering degree
- At least 3-5 years of proven successful experience in technical sales roles within the process industry
- Proficiency in Italian and English (verbal, reading, and writing) is required
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
- Residence in the Emilia Romagna region is preferred
