The company has developed the first teleoperated robotic platform for open microsurgery, offering motion scaling and tremor elimination to facilitate existing procedures and enable new ones in the domain of microsurgery.
Job Description
The Software Test Engineer will perform software tool tests, performance tests, SW build tests, and integration tests on a novel robot for microsurgery.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a high-caliber multidisciplinary team to document test protocols and troubleshooting guides as well as perform acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform SW build tests at every release;
- Test functional performance of completed assemblies or subassemblies using established procedures and test protocols;
- Document test procedures and process validation for medical devices and associated tools used for V&V and installation;
- Develop modular test scripts to automate test data collection and analysis;
- Operate and set up test equipment and fixtures;
- Architect test strategy for a complex medical robotics system developing testing protocols;
- Troubleshoot failures to module or component level assemblies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a Computer Science, Electronics, or similar Engineering Degree, comprehension in reading technical writing, and ability to understand system interconnect diagrams and test procedures.
You should also be able to run software, dedicated tools, and write simple code to extract data or plots, with experience in tools and programs such as Python and Matlab, and knowledge of LabVIEW being considered a plus.
A strong interdisciplinary understanding of robotics, electronics, software, and control, as well as professional written and spoken English, are also essential.
