Diagnostic & Offshore Platform Engineer

Prysmian Group is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Offshore and Platform Engineer to join its Installation Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical tasks such as writing procedures, providing support to internal and external clients, and serving as the technical expert for offshore platforms, testing, and fault location of High Voltage cables and Fibre Optic ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute electrical and optical tests to identify faults and diagnose the functionalities of HV submarine cables.
- Design and execute on-site fault location for optical fibers and power cables.
- Design cable installation on offshore platforms and offshore wind turbines.
- Support during the execution phase of offshore platforms and wind towers cable installation activities.
- Provide inputs during the tender phase to the proposal engineers related to the area of expertise and lessons learned from previous projects.
Requirements:
- A master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees.
- Preferably 2-4 years of previous work experience in electrical testing or general platform activities within an offshore environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Availability to travel at short notice for short periods.
- Excellent relationship and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving, target-oriented, capable of defining and setting priorities.
- Very good communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to continuous change.
- Eager to learn.
- Previous experience in client relationships will be a plus.
- Knowledge of basic software (Office suite, AutoCAD 2D as a plus).
