Test Laboratory Engineer
Purpose of the Job
- He/she carries out type, validation, or investigation tests, and prepares reports.
- He/she defines and implements the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing.
- He/she develops test operating modes and analyses test results.
Position in the Organisation
He/she reports to the Test Laboratory Manager.

Responsibilities
Accountable for:
Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means and developing the test operating mode in accordance with the costs time and pass-fail criterion set for the test.
Responsible for:
- Preparing the execution of the tests he/she is responsible for.
- Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests.
- Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
- Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed.
- Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction.
- Supervising and/or executing test activities, analyzing test results 'live' and deciding if test must be redone or not.
Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports.
Job Specifications
Knowledge & Experience
Experienced in ISO 17025 advantageous
Mechanical / Electro-technical / Electrical knowledge
Tests organisation capability, knowledge of planning tools
Fluent in English
Innovation
Shall input REX from Validation standpoint notably on validation methods/tools improvement (from a quality, duration and cost point of view) on his/her scope of activities in particular to decrease the time spent on trains.
