ID FG009 CNC Motion Control Engineer

Bottero S.p.A., a leading entity in the machinery sector for glass production, is seeking skilled professionals for its innovative startup division in the Province of Trento, Italy. This new venture aims to create solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to enhance the automation of the industrial hollow glass forming process. We are looking for individuals who are inspired by the dynamic nature of a high-tech startup, characterized by a streamlined organization, agile development practices, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in the hot end segment of a glass manufacturing facility, possessing production experience and expertise in forming engineering.
  • Versatile engineering skills, encompassing software, mechanical, and electronic disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement - Responsible for technical communications with clients, organizing and overseeing plant tests, and documenting field trials to identify and implement improvements.
  • Research & Development - Assist in defining product specifications and requirements from a forming engineering standpoint, translating glass production needs into specifications for automation systems, validating new products in the field, and acting as the 'voice of the customer' in agile practices. Ensure seamless collaboration with sales and marketing teams to align goals and priorities.
  • Management Duties - Report to management and participate in regular technical steering committees.

  • Proficient in English, which will serve as the official language of the new company.
  • Collaborative team player who values teamwork and supports colleagues beyond their own expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain workflow continuity even in the absence of a team member.
  • Results-driven with a focus on prompt actions to stabilize software in production environments.
  • Proactive contributor willing to share and advocate for ideas and proposals.
  • Open to implementing solutions developed by others.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation

Salary and contractual terms will be determined based on the candidate's level of expertise.
