Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to manage our service desk and IT infrastructure in Mestre.

About IIT

IIT is a research center that develops human-centered Science and Technology to tackle societal challenges. Our Genoa headquarters are interconnected with other centers in Italy and the US.

Your Role

You will work in a multi-disciplinary group, collaborating with experts to carry out research. Your main tasks will be:

  • Managing service desk activities and assisting users with problems
  • Managing IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, storage, and backup
  • Installing and configuring IT assets
  • Cooperating with other ICT offices to manage standard changes and higher-level requests
Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent high school diploma with IT experience
  • Previous experience in IT infrastructure management, including Windows and Linux servers and clients, computer networking fundamentals, virtualization, and storage systems management
  • Problem-solving skills and good knowledge of written and spoken English
Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience with IT Service Management
  • ITILv3 certification or newer
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management methods
  • Specific knowledge of audio/video systems management for events
  • Previous experience in research centers/institutions
