Construction Manager

Purpose of the Job

Coordinate and oversee the construction process in accordance with the project, safety and environmental regulations, established timelines, and budgeted costs.

Responsibilities

In accordance with company objectives, provide necessary instructions to the Field Manager for the conduct of installation work.

Coordinate and oversee the construction process in accordance with the project, safety and environmental regulations, established timelines, and budgeted costs.

Develop, in conjunction with planning, a work program in accordance with contractual deadlines and determine the need for work to be carried out through direct labor or subcontractors.

Direct and control, through field managers, the progress of construction activities for the verification of construction quality, compliance with deadlines, and implementation of safety and environmental regulations for workers and the environment.

Monitor, through field managers, the performance of subcontractors in terms of quality, compliance with deadlines, and implementation of safety and environmental regulations for workers and the environment.

Operate in accordance with the company's prevention and protection measures against occupational accidents and environmental protection, and monitor the application of the same in their area of competence.

Verify construction costs, particularly with regard to working hours and subcontracting costs.

Direct and oversee, through field managers, the application of company standards and environmental and safety regulations.

Direct and control, through field managers, the receipt and use of materials and equipment.

Responsible, through field managers or site accountants, for the monthly preparation of work accounts.

Interface and coordinate continuously with the Client to resolve and manage all operational issues.

Assume the role of WPO and therefore is responsible, using planning/accounting skills, for the preparation of reports/sheets and the advancement of WP monthly.

Knowledge / Experience (Necessary/Desirable)

Have gained significant experience in the production sector or equivalent position for at least 5 years, preferably in metal-mechanical companies.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 standards

Knowledge of main regulations in the field of protection of workers' health and safety and environmental protection.

Basic knowledge of accounting management

Educational Requirements (Necessary/Desirable)

Degree in technical engineering or technical diploma.

Good knowledge of the English language.
