Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Amazon Logistics Supply Chain team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the automation of delivery stations across North America and Europe.
About the Role
- You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to identify and select strategic suppliers, lead complex negotiations, and ensure seamless project execution from technology proof of concept development to scale-up strategy.
- Your primary responsibilities will include supplier selection and qualification, project execution, supply chain optimization, and risk management.
- You will continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction, develop and implement strategies to scale up technologies across regions with qualified suppliers, and develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- You will also identify and assess potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical factors, and develop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of these risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Selection and Qualification
- You will identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on capabilities, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- You will lead the negotiation process to secure favorable terms and conditions for our organization.
- You will conduct rigorous supplier qualification processes to assess their ability to meet our quality, delivery, and performance standards.
- You will develop and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- You will monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects stay on track.
- You will continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- You will develop and implement strategies to scale up technologies across regions with qualified suppliers.
- You will develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and address any issues promptly.
