Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of C++ applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Assist the team in resolving customer-related issues.
  • Contribute to the high-level design strategy of major projects.
  • Support management in delivery-related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance embedded and/or server applications.
  • Familiarity with client/server application development in C++ (knowledge of C++11 features, Boost, STL is a plus).
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, inter-process communication, and multi-threaded applications.
  • Background in embedded system development and cross-platform development.
  • Understanding of database systems and languages.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and tools (e.g., UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP/RTP).
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment (SCRUM).
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Commitment to enhancing quality through improved testability and test automation (TDD/BDD).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with digital signal processing algorithms, particularly in audio, image, and video processing.
  • Familiarity with C, assembler, SIMD instruction sets, and ARM development.
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting Linux kernel and drivers.
  • Knowledge of multimedia streaming and storage formats (e.g., RTSP, HLS, MPEG-DASH).
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and time series databases.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of formal design patterns and languages for software development.
  • Other relevant technology experience, including ActiveX, DirectX, and web development frameworks.
