Ship Outfitting Inspection Expert

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will take care of inspections during ship outfitting, ensuring compliance with construction rules and regulations.

You will study approved drawings, verify the correspondence between approved and shipyard construction drawings, and check welding procedures and materials.

You will also learn internal procedures of the shipyard and record findings related to outfitting. This role requires expertise in mounting and positioning of outfitting, as well as knowledge of engineering systems and machinery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Naval Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Junior Surveyor or 5 years' experience in the engineering or survey fields within the marine industry
  • Proficiency in English language commensurate with job scope
  • Ability to understand engineering plans and basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and operations
  • Knowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery, computer programs, and software packages related to job responsibilities
