Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled GL Accountant to join our team at Imerys, a world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the Financial Service Center in Greece and supervising general accounting and related reconciliations/balances;
- Supervising intercompany transactions;
- Supporting all Italian Imerys entities in archiving and administrative activities;
- Ensuring the completeness and correct sending of electronic invoices;
- Preparing and submitting VAT, Conai, and Intrastat reports;
- Participating in IT projects for the implementation and customization of SAP 4Hana.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- An accounting diploma or degree in economics;
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in a modernly structured company;
- Fluency in Italian and English, with French being a plus;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;
- Knowledge of SAP, with JDE being a plus.
