We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Functional Safety Manager to join our team at Renesas Electronics Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of functional safety in our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Functional Safety Strategies: Guide the development of strategies and evidence to prove that our functional safety methodologies are reasonable and aligned with industry best practices.
- Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Prove that our functional safety architecture meets internal and external customer safety specifications, delivering comprehensive safety documentation and analysis.
- Provide Customer Documentation and Deliverables: Develop and provide customer documentation and other deliverables needed for functional safety integrated circuits/products according to ISO 26262.
- Execute Functional Safety Management: Implement and manage functional safety management according to ISO26262, ensuring seamless integration with our platform.
- Plan and Follow-up on Safety Lifecycle Activities: Plan and follow-up on all activities of the ISO26262 safety lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Support Design and Verification Teams: Collaborate with design and verification teams to verify functional safety implementation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Generate Safety Cases: Develop and generate safety cases to demonstrate the safety of our products and services.
- Support Development Interface Agreements: Support the creation and maintenance of Development Interface Agreements with customers, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Support Software Tool Development and Qualification: Collaborate with software tool development teams to ensure qualification and compliance with ISO26262.
- Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Microelectronics or a similar field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in automotive development (System, HW or SW), preferably in silicon development.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in creating safety concepts and analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA).
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of analog/mixed-signal design and integrated circuits, architectural understanding of integrated devices, and experience as a designer within a R&D organization.
- Functional Safety Standards: Profound knowledge of functional safety standards ISO 26262 and/or IEC61508.
- Quality Management Standards: Good knowledge of quality management standards like ISO/TS16949.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of automotive SPICE/CMMI and ISO21434 is desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is a key requirement for this role, and Italian is a plus.
