Job Summary

As a Security Specialist with the Air Force Institute Of Technology, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our operations and personnel. This position requires a high level of expertise in security clearance administration, industrial security, and access control management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the visitor badge and pass program, ensuring accurate inventory management and badge accountability.
  • Administer the Industrial Security Program, enforcing all operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program.
  • Provide guidance and technical direction in the preparation of written responses to the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (DODCAF) when negative or adverse information affects employee security clearance eligibility.
  • Perform in-processing of new employees and debriefings on departing personnel when required.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector). Experience may include managing security clearance requests, administering industrial security programs, and enforcing access control measures.
