We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional in environmental sustainability to enhance our consulting services in Italy. This role primarily focuses on executing consulting projects related to environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modeling and reporting, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and Carbon Management, specifically within the metals and mining, agricultural, building & construction, electronics, chemical, and Oil & Gas sectors.
Your contributions will aid clients in developing more sustainable products and adopting sustainable operational practices. Your work will involve assisting clients with sustainability measurement and reporting, which may include generating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using our GaBi software, and engaging in other sustainability-focused initiatives such as carbon management and CSR reporting. This position will also require project management skills and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Managing multiple simultaneous consulting projects that focus on Life Cycle Assessment, product sustainability strategies, EPDs, and corporate sustainability initiatives. Developing life cycle assessment models for products or services utilizing our GaBi software. Analyzing manufacturing process data and creating life cycle inventories, while working with Excel or other data formats to manage extensive datasets. Conducting analyses on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and emissions. Preparing and delivering project findings in presentations or other formats. Composing ISO 14040/44 compliant reports that document your project activities. Ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborating with Sphera team members across various specialties and geographical locations.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, along with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Energy, Sustainability, or a related discipline. 2-4 years of relevant experience or functional knowledge in Life Cycle Assessment. A proactive and positive attitude. Strong interest and knowledge in sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and climate change. Solid quantitative or technical skills with a strong aptitude for analytical reasoning. A natural curiosity to explore issues, conduct research, design solutions, and translate findings into practical business applications. Willingness to learn new software, with some basic programming experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, deliver presentations, and prepare formal written reports. Self-driven and organized; capable of managing multiple assignments independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Strong communication skills in both English and Italian.What We Offer
