Job Description Summary

At GE Aviation, we're dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence. As a Lean Six Sigma Engineer Intern, you'll be part of our Continuous Improvement team, driving process improvements and enhancing our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement Lead: Identify and implement process improvements through kaizen events and value stream mapping activities.
  • Lean Manufacturing Specialist: Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, re-layout, leveling, and process simplification.
  • Change Agent: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting lean six sigma methodologies and best practices across the organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices, ensuring seamless implementation of process improvements.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: In a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or management engineering.
  • Lean Six Sigma Knowledge: Proven understanding of lean six sigma methodologies and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Italian and English.
  • Work Visa: In accordance with local regulations.

  • Lean Expertise: Knowledge of lean basics and experience in its application in a manufacturing reality.
  • Change Agent: Proven ability to stimulate, communicate, and institutionalize lean six sigma initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Established analytical and quantitative ability, including data mining and data crunching.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to make executive presentations.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills, with a customer-focused approach.
