Job Summary

SICIM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our engineering activities on EPC projects worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical engineering design work, providing leadership to other electrical engineers, and working closely with project engineers and managers to develop workload forecasts, design schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical engineering design work on assigned projects
  • Provide leadership for other electrical engineers in the Power team
  • Work with project engineers and managers to develop workload forecasts, design schedules, and budgets
  • Function as the Engineer of Record on projects
  • Perform power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, and arc flash analysis
  • Provide technical support for business development activities, such as developing proposals
  • Develop one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, equipment layouts, and connection diagrams
  • Conduct arc-flash hazard calculations to determine arc-flash boundaries and required PPE
  • Develop construction and equipment specifications
  • Support projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
  • Review engineering work performed by peers
  • Attend client meetings and client and site field visits

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal skills with an ability to lead engineering tasks
  • 12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with at least five (5) years leading electrical engineering projects
  • Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
  • Plant startup and commissioning field knowledge
  • Power systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap)
  • Renewables experience
  • Functioned as the Engineer of Record on at least two (2) projects
  • Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Navisworks)
