Job Title: Naval Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team at Gi Group S.P.A. as a key member of our Asset Based Services business line. As a Naval Architect, you will be responsible for conducting technical activities, maintaining planning and workloads, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality naval projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and control naval architectural technical activities
  • Maintain up-to-date planning and workloads prediction
  • Check naval deliverables, including procedures, notes, and technical reports
  • Interface with other engineering specialists to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain and develop design capability in areas such as stability, hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, hull, mooring, and installation engineering
  • Issue or check technical parts of requisitions, bid analysis, and purchase orders
  • Select and update numerical tools for naval department engineering activities
  • Implement and control preventive/corrective actions arising from audits or certification requirements
  • Ensure technical competence growth of department resources in areas such as hydrostatics, stability, hydrodynamics, mooring analysis, and dynamic positioning systems

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Proficiency in English language (B1 level)
  • 3-5 years of experience in naval engineering
  • Abroad availability for mission or long assignments
