About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance automation tools for Linux products, including those running in public clouds.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases for our Linux offerings.
  • Coordinate test planning and execution within a global, distributed team.
  • Conduct unit and system testing to improve test coverage.
  • Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain test infrastructure.
  • Gather test requirements from QA, development, and product management.
  • Participate in test planning and management.
  • Perform manual exploratory and ad-hoc testing when needed.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of software QA, development lifecycle, test automation, and methodologies.
  • Experience in software development or QA automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python, or Shell) or programming languages.
  • Extensive Linux knowledge and familiarity with Linux administration.
  • Expertise in incident and test management.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in virtual, distributed environments.
  • Familiarity with large projects and complex build systems (Open Build Service experience a plus).
Specialized Experience
  • We're looking for candidates with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
  • Container technologies.
  • Kernel development or testing (LTP knowledge preferred).
  • Virtualization.
  • Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
