Senior Tax Controller

Wärtsilä is a global leader in innovative technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Controller to join our team in Trieste.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing internal advisory and support on Corporate Tax, VAT, and other indirect tax on local and international transactions and business project/developments. This will involve ensuring compliance with local legislation, EU directives, and company accounting manuals.

The role will also involve elaboration and filing of returns, monthly and year-end calculation, and internal reporting. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for transfer price documentation and Top-Up-Tax requirements.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance, economics, or business administration, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Tax and VAT. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal advisory and support on Corporate Tax, VAT, and other indirect tax
  • Elaboration and filing of returns, monthly and year-end calculation, and internal reporting
  • Transfer price documentation and Top-Up-Tax requirements
  • Coordination of external advisors for tax compliance

Requirements:

  • MSc in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Tax and VAT
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
