The Senior Sales Engineer role at Corel is a key position that requires expertise in Parallels products, particularly Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace, and Parallels DaaS. This individual will provide technical assistance to potential customers, perform product demonstrations, and take ownership of Proof of Concepts to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies, as well as experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, and VMWare Horizon. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and articulate the value proposition of Parallels solutions.

This position requires a strong technical background, with at least 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering or a related field. The candidate should be fluent in written and verbal business-level English and have a willingness to travel annually. Additionally, experience with cloud-based computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed demonstrations of Parallels products.
  • Provide in-depth technical assistance to potential customers.
  • Take ownership of Proof of Concepts and ensure timely completion.
  • Actively participate in the design, implementation, and support of Parallels products.
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on technical issues.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of all Parallels and related competitors' products.
  • Develop project concepts and project proposals to solve customer needs and requests.
  • Work with Account Managers, Sales Management, and Channel Partners to effectively schedule the use of technical resources to support selling efforts.
  • Coordinate all activities related to technical sales support for potential customers and existing accounts.
  • Plan and conduct a series of Technical Training sessions and Webinars, both online and at Channel Partners and Customers.
  • Mentor and assist in training Sales Engineers, new hires, and the sales team as required.

Required Skills, Technical and Non-Technical:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering for a product operating in the same domains as Parallels.
  • Hands-on experience in at least 1 of the following technologies: Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMWare Horizon, Microsoft RDS or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services - TS/RDSH/Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure solutions relating to Systems, Network, and Security.
  • Experience in cloud computing platforms, mainly in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Ability to perform product demonstrations and presentations to technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical documentation.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.

Required:

  • The right attitude to compete with Citrix, VMware, and other competitors in the market.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering or as an IT Engineer role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing and/or administering applications and desktops virtualization systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud-based computing.
  • Readiness to travel annually.
  • Fluent in written and verbal business-level English is a must. French, Italian, or Spanish is a secondary must.

Miscellaneous

This position is 100% remote, with a maximum travel requirement of 20% of the time.
