We are seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Engineer to join our team at Arup, a global collective of advisors and experts working across 140 countries. As a dedicated professional in sustainable development, you will collaborate with clients and partners using imagination, technology, and rigour to shape a better world.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering local and global projects, including the HS2 project in the UK, Metro Projects in California and Denmark, and mining projects for energy projects in the UK. You will work closely with clients and other professionals with minimal supervision, coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines, producing project-related correspondence and reports, and providing design calculations and supporting preparation and review of drawings.

To be successful in this role, you will need a BEng in Civil Engineering or a BSc in Geological Sciences supplemented by an MSc in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering/Soil Mechanics or Structural Engineering. You will also require working knowledge of industry-standard software for tunnelling, geotechnical, and structural design, as well as 3 to 6 years of geotechnical and tunnelling design experience in a consultancy environment.
