About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our team at Belmond Hotel Costa Smeralda. As an Assistant Sommelier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional wine service to our guests, developing wine events, and maintaining beverage inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and meet the needs of our discerning guests, delivering personalized service and exceeding their expectations.
  • Develop and execute wine events, including wine tastings and pairings, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor and maintain beverage inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient ordering processes.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment, with a strong background in wine service and knowledge.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and results.
  • Fluent English language skills, with additional languages a plus.
  • Sommelier Association membership or equivalent certification, such as AIS or WSET.
