Postdoctoral Researcher in Protein Interactions

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Pherobase, a leading research center in the field of genetics and genomics. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Jaroslaw Krzywinski on a project focused on identifying and characterizing molecular interactions involved in the sex determination and sexual differentiation of the African malaria mosquito, Anopheles gambiae.

The project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and aims to advance our understanding of the complex interactions between proteins and nucleic acids in the mosquito's sex determination pathway. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and techniques, including protein expression, isolation of protein complexes, and mass spectrometry.

• Design and conduct experiments to identify and characterize molecular interactions involved in sex determination and sexual differentiation
• Analyze data and prepare manuscripts for publication in top-quality journals
• Collaborate with the research team to advance the project's goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of protein biochemistry and molecular biology techniques

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
• Expertise in protein biochemistry, molecular cloning, and mass spectrometry technologies
• Demonstrated proficiency in experimental design, data acquisition, analysis, and manuscript preparation
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
